Panama to export natural gas to Colombia in 2025 due to energy crisis
Panama could begin exporting natural gas to Colombia in 2025 as a response to the energy crisis facing the South American country. This was announced by Oscar Santibáñez, director of LNG for Central America and the Caribbean at AES Panama.
The gas will be transported from AES warehouses in Colon to the Colombian ports of Buenaventura and Cartagena.
Although initially exports will be directed only to Colombia, AES Panama plans to expand the distribution of natural gas to other countries in the region in the near future.
