Bank of America announced that the Panama Canal is strong, efficient and very profitable

The ACP is also making investments in infrastructure, such as building new roads, to facilitate access to the project areas
In a report published on Monday, Bank of America said that the Panama Canal Authority, ACP, has announced a remarkable operational recovery after facing severe drought conditions in 2024.
As part of its response to the drought, the ACP implemented a modification to its toll rate structure. Instead of relying solely on traffic volume, the authority introduced a new toll model for the 2023-2025 period.
In terms of long-term projects, the ACP is advancing initiatives to ensure the water security of the Panama Canal in the future. Among the most important projects is the Río Indio project to optimize water management in the region. This project is part of an effort to promote a more sustainable approach to water management.
Additionally, the ACP is also making investments in infrastructure, such as the construction of new roads, to facilitate access to the project areas and support their implementation.
