In the fifth round of negotiations between Panama and the People’s Republic of China, issues related to the financial and services sectors are pending negotiation.

This was revealed Wednesday morning by Alberto Arias Alemán, chief negotiator of the Free Trade Agreement with China, who added that the chapter on markets should also be analyzed.

Arias Alemán stressed that there is not yet a specific date for the start of the fifth round of negotiations with China.

The Panamanian negotiator emphasized that there is a lack of discussion of logistical issues, which are indispensable in this matter.

He explained that there is no date for the fifth round of negotiations for events such as World Youth Day and the Chinese New Year.
