Panama will be shown to the region as a regional hub for the aviation industry through the Aero Expo 2018, which will take place on March 21 and 22 at the Panama Pacifico Airport. For the third year in a row this event will take place, whose main objective is to promote general and executive aviation and present Panama as the regional hub of this important industry and thus highlight the incentives that this country offers to aviation companies.
The organizer and executive director of the Aero Expo Panama, Yvan Boniface, indicated that during the two days of exhibition the conditions will be defined to strengthen the growth of private aviation in Panama and in the region. Boniface expressed its gratitude to the sponsors of this event: the Tourism Authority of Panama, Tocumen S.A., the Civil Aviation Authority (AAC) and the Panama Pacifico Agency. As a novelty this year, as confirmed by Enrique Sanchez, Marketing Director of the ATP, for the first time an aerial acrobatics show sponsored by the Tourism Authority of Panama, the main sponsor of that exhibition, will be presented. On the other hand, the Regional Airports Operations Manager, Rosa Muñoz, highlighted that over the years, executive aviation in Panama has been growing, bringing with it direct and indirect jobs.
“Panama is consolidating as an air hub with a Convention Center that will soon be ready, the expansion of the Tocumen airport, more than 130 SEMS companies established in Panama and the movement we have at the Panama Pacifico Airport,” he said. Aero Expo Panama will feature a static presentation of various executive aircraft and expert speakers on the subject who will dictate seminars on topics of great importance in executive aviation companies, such as the management of the costs of aircraft operations.
Renowned speakers such as David Whyndam of Conklin & Decker and Alberto Shamah of Planes To Go Fabricas will announce the latest advances in their aircraft and products, and universities will present their aeronautical careers. Between the exhibitors of this 2018 will participate recognized companies worldwide, such as: HondaJet, Piper Aircraft, Cirrus Aircraft, Pilatus, Dassault Falcon Jet, Embraer Executive Jets, Dallas Airmotive, JSSI, World Fuel Services, CAE; and the main local companies in the sector such as Mapiex International, Aeroradio de Panama, Aviazión Group, among others. Likewise, the participation of companies dedicated to the leasing of helicopters, aircraft insurance, information technologies and training of human resources is expected. It will be two days of high networking productivity and scope for private aviation.
