Line 2 of the Metro begins operations on April 25 and Terminal 2 of Tocumen opens on April 29: Varel

The President of the Republic, Juan Carlos Varela, announced on Wednesday that Line 2 of the Panama Metro will be inaugurated at 6:00 p.m. from April 25.

He also announced that terminal 2 of the Tocumen International Airport will be inaugurated on April 29.

He will do it a few days before the general elections, scheduled for May 5 next.

According to the president, this “modern airport” together with the new line 2 of the Metro will allow “millions of travelers who make connections and who arrive as tourists, to visit our city efficiently”.

Last January, Tocumen S.A. put into operation some boarding doors for the celebration of the World Youth Day.

To date, the construction of the new terminal has cost $ 879 million.
