Posted on 2018-08-15
The Aeroregional company started its charter flights on the Ecuador-Panama route, using the Panama-Pacific international runway as the airport. The flight will arrive on Thursday at 1:30 pm through a Boeing B737-500 with a capacity of 130 passengers.
After complying with the aeronautical processes of Ecuador and Panama, the company obtained the certification to initially operate a frequency to and from Quito, which will open the door to new possibilities for Ecuadorian tourists. Aeroregional has reported that they have among their projections to expand their offer of routes to the cities of Guayaquil, Manta and Latacunga with the Panama Pacifico International Airport.
The Ecuadorian airline has agreements with important agents, among which the Sol Caribe, Dream & Travel and Promo Charters tour operators stand out; its main and maintenance base is concentrated in the José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport in Guayaquil and in response to the strong interest that exists for Ecuadorian travelers to visit Panama, it is working on an aggressive programming of operations by the main and largest Ecuadorian Tourism Agency, Grupo Tutiven.
The Panama Pacifico International Airport, located west of the city of Panama, mobilized a total of 130,037 passengers between January and June 2018, which highlights a growth of 5% over the same period last year.
